Tell them that protecting children is important to you, and that this bill will help address the overly harsh treatment of youth interacting with the justice system to align with age- and developmentally-appropriate punishment. Further, the bill contains policies aimed to reduce barriers hindering children’s future success after an interaction with the justice system.
